The first time I met Faith she was a Sophomore in high school and I was a Freshman at ACU. I was good friends with her brother and their parents had us over to their house in Abilene. Faith had some of her friends over and they invited us to watch a scary movie with them ("It Follows" in case you like scary movies.) Now I am TERRIFIED of scary movies but I couldn't admit that to this group of girls 3 years younger than me. I sat through the movie and just stared at the ground the whole time.
Although I hated the movie, my friendship with Faith blossomed over the years I was at ACU and I even got to see her become a Freshman there my Senior year. I was more than honored when she reached out to me to take her graduation photos few years later. The west Texas wind was really working its hardest that day, but we had a great time walking all over campus snapping pics and reminiscing on each of our experiences there.
